A Whistler bachelor or bachelorette getaway should be about more than a night out in the Village.
In August, the mountains, lakes, golf courses, bike trails, patios and restaurants are all at their best. Add a private chalet as your home base, and your group can experience Whistler together without splitting up across multiple hotel rooms.
Whether your group is looking for golf and adventure, time on the lake, a relaxing spa day, exceptional dining or simply time together in the mountains, Whistler makes it easy to create a memorable four-day getaway.
Here’s how we’d plan it.
Day 1: Arrive, Unwind and Settle In
After the drive from Vancouver, there’s no need to rush into a packed schedule. Your first afternoon is about arriving, getting settled and enjoying the chalet.
Afternoon: Lake Time
Head to Alta Lake or Green Lake for an easy introduction to summer in Whistler.
August is ideal for getting out on the water. Depending on your group, you can swim, paddle, rent a boat or simply find a spot to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery.
Your Concierge can help arrange boat rentals and transportation, making it easy to start your getaway without having to organize every detail yourself.

Evening: Private Chef Dinner
One of the biggest advantages of staying in a private chalet is having a comfortable place for everyone to gather.
Rather than coordinating a large group reservation on your first night, consider having a private chef prepare dinner at the chalet. Your Concierge can arrange grocery stocking and chef services before you arrive, so everything is ready when you walk through the door.
At Northern Lights 42, the spacious deck, dining area and private hot tub create an ideal setting for an evening together.
At Cypress Sky Retreat, the 1,500 sq ft deck, two hot tubs and infrared sauna make it easy to wind down after a day outside.
Day 2: Golf, Adventure and an Evening to Remember
Day two is your opportunity to get out and experience some of what makes Whistler such a popular summer destination.
For Golf Groups
Start the morning at Nicklaus North Golf Course, conveniently located near both Northern Lights 42 and Cypress Sky Retreat.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the par-71 course winds through the Whistler Valley with views of the surrounding mountains, forests and Green Lake. It’s a beautiful setting for a group round, and the course has hosted major golf events and some of the biggest names in the sport.
If your group wants to make a full day of it, consider a second round at Big Sky Golf & Country Club in Pemberton, where the dramatic Mount Currie backdrop makes the drive north worthwhile.
Your Concierge can assist with tee times, club rentals and transportation so your group can focus on enjoying the day.

For Adventure Groups
For a more active day, head to Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
The Bike Park offers more than 100 km of trails across four mountain zones, with terrain ranging from intermediate trails to advanced technical riding. For experienced riders, it’s one of the signature mountain-bike experiences in the world.

If downhill mountain biking isn't your thing, explore Whistler’s Valley Trail network on e-bikes instead.
Looking for something completely different? Your Concierge can also arrange experiences such as RZR tours or axe throwing for some friendly group competition.
Afternoon: Bar Oso
For a more sophisticated take on the traditional group drinks stop, head to Bar Oso.
Located in Whistler Village, Bar Oso brings Spanish-inspired tapas, pintxos, house-made charcuterie and creative cocktails to an intimate, stylish setting.
The long bar makes it a particularly good place for a group to meet for a drink and a few small plates before dinner. Chef Jorge Muñoz Santos, a native of Madrid, brings a distinctly Spanish perspective to the menu and atmosphere.
Rather than making it a full evening, we’d treat Bar Oso as the perfect pre-dinner stop.
Evening: Bearfoot Bistro and the Ketel One Ice Room
For one of the most memorable evenings of the trip, make a reservation at Bearfoot Bistro.
Bearfoot combines fine dining with several experiences that make the evening feel like more than just dinner. Guests can enjoy the restaurant’s wine program, Champagne sabering and the famous Ketel One Ice Room.
The Ice Room is maintained at approximately -32°C (-25°F), making it one of Whistler’s most unusual tasting experiences. Guests are provided with parkas before stepping inside for a vodka tasting.
For a bachelor or bachelorette getaway, this is the kind of experience people tend to remember long after the trip is over.
Tourism Whistler specifically highlights Bearfoot Bistro for its fine dining, Champagne sabering and Ketel One Ice Room experience.
Day 3: Scandinave Spa and a Proper Whistler Dining Experience
After two busy days, day three is about slowing down.
And this is where the four-day format really works. You don't have to cram every experience into a single weekend.
Morning: Scandinave Spa Whistler
Spend several hours at Scandinave Spa Whistler.
Set among old-growth forest just minutes from Whistler Village, the 25,000 sq ft Nordic spa is built around a simple thermal cycle: hot, cold and rest.
The experience includes hot pools, thermal waterfalls, saunas, steam baths, cold plunges and quiet relaxation areas. There is also the option to add a massage to your Thermal Journey.
What makes Scandinave particularly special for a group getaway is that it is deliberately different from almost everything else you'll do in Whistler. There are no phones, no distractions and no conversations in the thermal areas. The focus is simply on slowing down and enjoying the surroundings.
A typical visit can last three to five hours, and there is no time limit once you've checked in for your Thermal Journey.
It's the perfect reset after a couple of active days.

Afternoon: Take Your Time
After the spa, don't over-plan the afternoon.
Have lunch, explore the Village, browse the shops or head back to the chalet for some downtime.
This is also a good opportunity to enjoy the amenities of your private home. Take a soak in the hot tub, relax on the deck or simply spend some time together without having to be somewhere.
Evening: Whistler Sky's Recommended Dining Experiences
When your group wants dinner to feel like an occasion, these are several of the Whistler restaurants we'd put at the top of the list.
Il Caminetto — Best for an elevated Italian dinner
Located in the heart of Whistler Village, Il Caminetto brings contemporary Italian dining to the mountains.
Executive Chef and Culinary Director James Walt has built a reputation around regional cuisine and local, sustainable ingredients. The restaurant has also earned a strong collection of current accolades, including Silver for Best Restaurant in Whistler at the 2026 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, a 2025 Tripadvisor Best of the Best recognition and a 2026 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
For a group celebrating something special, this is one of our first choices.
Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar — Best for a classic Whistler dining experience
Araxi has been a cornerstone of Whistler Village for decades and remains one of the destination's most established fine-dining experiences.
Its seasonally focused menu emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, with seafood and oysters being particular highlights. Araxi also has an extensive wine program with more than 1,000 labels and more than 11,000 bottles in its collection.
The restaurant's location in the Village makes it especially convenient for groups who want dinner followed by a relaxed walk through Whistler.
Rimrock Café — Best for atmosphere and a Whistler institution
If atmosphere matters as much as the food, Rimrock Café deserves serious consideration.
Located in Creekside, Rimrock has been a Whistler institution since 1986 and is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026. Its menu focuses on fresh seafood, game meats and seasonal dishes, while the restaurant's intimate setting gives dinner a distinctly Whistler feel.
Rimrock also has options for larger celebrations, including group bookings and private dining arrangements.
It consistently ranks among Whistler's highest-reviewed fine-dining restaurants, making it one of our favourite recommendations for a special group dinner.
Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar — Best for a modern culinary experience
If your group wants to experience one of Whistler's most talked-about newer restaurants, book Wild Blue.
The restaurant focuses on upscale, seafood-forward Pacific Northwest cuisine with Italian and French influences, along with a carefully curated wine and cocktail program.
Wild Blue has accumulated an impressive list of accolades since opening, and in 2026 it was recognized among North America's 50 Best Restaurants.
For food-focused groups, this is one of the restaurants we'd recommend booking well in advance.
Day 4: Brunch, One Last Experience and Home
Don't schedule an early departure.
Take advantage of your final morning in Whistler with a relaxed breakfast, coffee and some time enjoying the chalet before checkout.
Brunch
For a casual final meal, Elements or Southside Diner are convenient options before beginning the drive back to Vancouver.
If you have a little more time, consider one final walk around the Village, a quick visit to the lake or another short activity before heading home.
Four days gives you enough time to experience Whistler without making the entire trip feel rushed.
More Whistler Dining and Cocktail Recommendations
Not every meal needs to be a formal dinner.
For groups who want to explore Whistler's food and cocktail scene, these are a few more places we'd recommend considering.
Bar Oso — Best for cocktails and Spanish-inspired small plates
Bar Oso is our pick when the group wants somewhere stylish for cocktails, wine and smaller plates rather than a full dinner.
Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar — Best for oysters and a Village setting
The bar at Araxi is also worth considering for an afternoon drink, oysters or a bottle of wine before dinner. The handsome rosewood bar and heated outdoor area overlook the Village plaza.
Christine's on Blackcomb — Best for a mountain-top lunch
For something completely different, take the Blackcomb Gondola up to Christine's on Blackcomb.
Located at 1,860 metres in the Rendezvous Lodge, Christine's offers full-service dining, panoramic Coast Mountain views and a summer patio. It is open for lunch during the 2026 summer season and requires a valid sightseeing ticket or pass to access the restaurant.
This is one of those experiences where the journey is part of the meal.
Why a Private Chalet Works So Well for a Whistler Group Getaway
When you're travelling with 8–12 friends, staying together can make the experience much easier.
Instead of coordinating several hotel rooms, your group has one private home where you can eat together, relax between activities and enjoy the trip at your own pace.
One Home, One Group
Everyone stays together rather than being spread across multiple hotel rooms and floors.
Plenty of Space
Northern Lights 42 offers approximately 3,500 sq ft of living space, 4 bathrooms, a spacious dining area, private hot tub and media room.
A Place to Gather
A large dining table, comfortable living spaces and outdoor areas give your group room to spend time together between activities.
Privacy
Enjoy dinner, games, conversation and time together in your own private home without the shared hallways and common areas of a hotel.
Personal Concierge
Every Whistler Sky guest has access to a dedicated Concierge who can help coordinate the details of your stay, including golf, boat rentals, private chefs, transportation, restaurant reservations and other activities.
Where to Stay for Your Whistler Bachelor or Bachelorette Getaway
The right chalet depends on what your group wants to get out of the trip.
Northern Lights 42
For groups looking for a central home base with plenty of space and only 3 - 4 minutes walk to the Village, Northern Lights 42 is the perfect home offering five floors of living space, a dedicated bunk room, a large mudroom and garage for gear, a private hot tub and room for the entire group to stay together.
Its close proximity to the Nicklaus North Golf Course also makes it particularly appealing for golf-focused groups.
Cypress Sky Retreat
For groups looking to combine golf, relaxation and outdoor living, Cypress Sky Retreat sits directly on Nicklaus North Golf Course.
The home features approximately 3,500 sq ft of space, two hot tubs, an infrared sauna and a 1,500 sq ft deck.
It's an excellent option for groups who want to spend as much time enjoying the home as they do exploring Whistler.
What to Book Now for an August 2026 Getaway
